Illusion bustier cocktail dress by Christian Dior. Rare numbered haute couture piece from the Autumn/Winter 1988/1989 collection, one of Marc Bohan's last for the house. Timeless LBD with bow-trimmed sweetheart bodice and a high illusion neckline in silk chiffon with long sleeves. Structured, inner longline boned corset bodice with reinforced waistband sits atop a pleated skirt with a slight tulip silhouette. Fully lined in silk. Covered shank buttons at back with a double closure. The perfect little black dress, this piece is always appropriate. We would wear with a pointed toe heel, smooth chignon, and red lip. Black.
